We collect what you type, nothing else.
Short version: VisaCompass Japan is in the hypothesis-validation phase. The only data we have about you is what you typed into the waitlist form. We use it to email you when we launch and to understand which kind of person needs this product. We don't sell it, we don't share it, and you can delete it any time.
Who runs this site
VisaCompass Japan is an independent project. Not affiliated with the Immigration Services Agency of Japan, any law firm, or any 行政書士 office. The waitlist page you submitted exists to validate product–market fit before we build the full product. There is no live product yet.
What we collect
Only what you type into the waitlist form. That is: email, your current visa, JLPT level, renewal timing, your free-text biggest worry, and the price range you would pay per month. Nothing else. No tracking pixels, no third-party cookies, no fingerprinting.
What we don't collect
No name. No address. No phone number. No payment info. No passport or residence card details. We don't ask you to upload images. We don't use Google Analytics or any tracking pixels. If we later add basic visitor counts, it will be via Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless, aggregate only) — and this page will be updated before we enable it.
How we use it
To email you when we open early access, to understand which personas need this most, and to price the product fairly. That's it. We will not sell or share your responses. No third parties receive your data.
Where it lives
Form submissions are sent through Resend (Tokyo region) to a single inbox monitored by the founder. The page itself is hosted on Cloudflare Pages with the function and assets pinned to the Tokyo data center where possible. No data is intentionally moved outside Japan; transient routing by Cloudflare may briefly touch other regions for delivery.
How long we keep it
Your waitlist data stays in the founder's inbox and a small spreadsheet until VisaCompass Japan launches the production product (target: Q3 2026), or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. After launch, your data may move into the product CRM only if you have signed up for the product itself — separately and explicitly.
How to delete or correct your data
Email hello@visacompass.co from the address you signed up with. State whether you want a copy, a correction, or full deletion. We will action it within 7 days and reply with confirmation. No fees, no forms.
Children
This service is intended for adults dealing with their own visa renewals. Don't enter data on behalf of a child.
Changes to this policy
If we change this page in a way that meaningfully expands what we collect or how we use it, we'll email every waitlist signup before the new policy takes effect. The version date at the top of this page is canonical; older versions are kept in git history at github.com/ichis-lab/visacompass-japan.
Contact
Questions, complaints, or data requests: hello@visacompass.co. We'll respond personally.
In plain words — we don't have anything sneaky to do with your data. The whole point of this page is to be honest enough that you trust us with your email.
